Making Your Catering Friendly for All Walks of Life

Over the last 10 years, the demand for private and business catering has gone up by about 20%. In 2019, this industry made professionals $22 billion, which shows how popular it is. Catering is no longer the domain of the rich and famous. Everyone enjoys having a catered event for family and friends. It takes the pressure off of the host so they can have a good time with everyone else.

Of course, accommodating different people with catering requires some knowledge. We’ll be sharing some tips below to help you.

Think About Time of Day

The meal you want to provide to your guests will vary based on the time of day. For instance, people typically eat far different dishes at breakfast than at lunch. You may also have people who eat at varying times due to culture or schedule (if the catering is for a work event). Make sure the meal fits the situation. Brunch works well for any time from early morning through the start of the afternoon.

Provide Diverse Dishes

Most of the time, people have different diets and it can be challenging to provide something everyone likes. The great thing about catering is that you can accommodate all tastes. For instance, in addition to the dishes that contain meat, add in some vegan and vegetarian options. This ensures everyone has something delicious to try.

Consider Self-Serve Options

Rather than hiring someone to wait on your guests, why not provide buffet-style meals? This has several benefits. It cuts down on costs associated with your event. It lets everyone pick and choose what they want to eat rather than feeling obligated to consume what’s on the plate. Picky eaters like kids can select only foods that they enjoy.

Be Aware of Allergies

Does anyone on the guest list have allergies? If you aren’t sure, you should find out. You want to be sure that meals can be consumed by every guest. At the very least, make sure the dishes are marked with allergens so no emergencies crop up at your party or meeting.

Now that you know how to make your catering appropriate for all walks of life, all you need is the food. Consider a brunch café catering in the area for a wide selection of scrumptious food that everyone will love. It’s sure to make your event one that nobody ever forgets.
