What is the perfect summer brunch menu? To be honest, if you were to ask a dozen different people, you would probably get just as many answers. Everyone has their own idea of what would make for a perfect brunch for the summer. However, we can give you some ideas below that are sure to please just about everyone.
When the weather is warm, you don’t want to weigh yourself down with heavy foods. Instead, consider keeping it light with an entrée salad. You could have just veggies, or you could have some meat, such as chicken, included in the salad, as well. Find a brunch place that has multiple salad options, not just a basic house salad.
You should also look for some of the cooler options at the restaurant. This isn’t from a spicy perspective, of course, just overall temperature. For example, wraps are a great item to have on a brunch menu, as are most sandwiches. Look at some of the options for fruits, oats, etc., as well.
What about burgers? They go perfectly with the summer weather and are a classic choice. Of course, if you want to keep it light, rather than choosing beef, you might want to choose a turkey patty or even a vegan patty.
You might also want to find a brunch place that can offer smoothies. Sometimes, a very light meal alongside a smoothie is the perfect brunch. You don’t need a full “smoothie place” but they should at least have a couple of options. Smoothies will make you feel great, and they won’t feel too heavy on those hot days.
Why not consider a place with some cocktails, too? Bloody Marys and mimosas are always a great option. They are cool drinks for a hot day, and a perfect way to end your brunch.
How do these sound to you? What would you have on your ideal brunch menu? After all, there aren’t any wrong answers when it comes to brunch.
Keep in mind that even though we’ve kept things on the cooler and lighter side in this article, it doesn’t mean that waffles, crepes, and omelets are out of the question. They can be just as welcome on a brunch menu no matter the time of year. However, the above options tend to work quite well for the hotter months of the year.
